Riverside & Canal Walks Group 3

When: 3rd Tuesday at 9.45am between January and November.
Where: Varies

The Riverside & Canals Walks Groups were launched in 2024 and offered our members opportunities to explore and Learn about the local industrial history, socialise and Laugh over a cup of coffee and thereby Live an active life. Members have enjoyed 2 ½ to 3 ½ mile leisurely strolls along rivers, canals and reservoirs in Central and Greater London

During 2024, the groups walked along the Thames in the Isle of Dogs, Wapping, Woolwich and London City Island and River Wandle. Canalside walks along towpaths introduced groups to the Lea Valley and Brentford.

Walks for 2025 for this group have already started with walks covering Limehouse, River Pool and further walks planned for the remaining months until November. These social walks are taken at a steady pace with lots of time to chat with each other as we take in our surroundings.
