ITINERARY - Thursday 12 June 2025

Our 2025 summer outing is to Ramsgate, a seaside town in East Kent and includes a guided tour
of Ramsgate’s Hidden Wartime History in the Tunnels. Visit the beach and see the boats and
yachts in marina. The town is a Cinque Port and the only Royal Heritage Harbour in the country.

Arrival & Registration 7:45am: At Fairfield Hall’s bus stop KA. Depart by coach at 8:00am, have
a 15 minutes comfort break enroute and aim to arrive around 10:15am at Ramsgate Esplanade.
On arrival: take in the views and have a cuppa or lunch at a range of cafes, restaurants and ice
cream parlours. Marvel at the architecture of Wetherspoon’s Royal Pavilion, built as a concert hall

Ramsgate Tunnel 1 ½ hour Guided Tours: Groups 1 and 2 will be announced on the coach.
Please ensure you advise us of mobility problems you may have before booking, certainly
latest by 31 May, especially if you are bringing a wheelchair or mobility aid. You must also
be able to get on and off the coach unaided. Using a mobility aid provides access only to
the Ramsgate Tunnel museum, NOT the tunnel because the terrain is uneven.

Group 1: Assemble at Tunnels at 11:25am for a pre-tour visit to the museum. Tour at 12 noon.
Group 2: Assemble at Tunnels at 1:25pm for a pre-tour visit to the museum. Tour at 2:00pm
Registration & Departure 4pm: Depart by coach to arrive at Fairfield Halls at around 6:30pm.
