Fit For The Future, a strategy to expand and sustain the u3a movement

The u3a Council

After consultation with the wider membership, the u3a Board of Trustees introduced Fit For The Future, a strategy to expand and sustain the movement. This includes establishing a Council to support local u3as, and a pilot Council ran for one year, after which it was fully established in April 2025. 

There are two elected members for each of the nine regions of England and the three nations of Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The Council representatives for the London Region of 43 u3as are Chris Bulford (Islington u3a) & Jenny Wilson (Croydon u3a).
